As the founder of SDI Architects, Jim Swanson brings more than 30 years of diverse architectural experience to his clients. He has led and supported design work in a wide variety of project types in the commercial, educational, healthcare, hospitality and industrial sectors. Jim has been an active member of Houston’s Architectural community, and before launching SDI Architects, he was a leader in Hewlett Packard’s Real Estate Division, directing the architectural solutions and leading project work around the world.

Jim is currently the Managing Principal of SDI Architects, helping his clients achieve their challenging goals by providing project leadership, aligning architectural solutions with space and real estate strategies. 

 

 

Exercising his unique ability to listen, learn and rapidly bring thoughtful architectural solutions to the table and deliver projects that are well aligned with their client’s goals & needs has resulted in the creation of great client value.

 

 

Jim and SDI Architects have also demonstrated their commitment to improve the community through their involvement in it. SDI Architects has a rich history in charitable work and giving, and Jim has served on several non-profit boards, local mentoring programs and has participated in overseas charity and mission work.
